Police investigate robbery GO#20-42650

On April 6 at 1:44 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a robbery at the Irving Station located at 15 Fairfax Drive, Halifax. A man entered the gas station and told the employee to give him the safe and money from the till or he would stab him. The suspect left with a small safe, money from the till and cigarettes, which he placed in a reusable Sobeys bag. No knife was observed. The suspect was left on foot towards Parkland Drive. The employee was not injured.

The suspect is described to police as a white man with short blond hair in a buzz cut style who is believed to be in his early 20’s. He is 5’8” tall with a medium build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black windbreaker style jacket with a hood, a blue/green medical mask covering his face and he carried a reusable Sobeys bag.
