Police investigate robbery GO#20-91554

On August 9 at 12:40 a.m., Halifax Regional Police were dispatched to 1960 Brunswick Street, Halifax, for a robbery in progress. A man threatened staff with a large edged weapon and took money from the till. There were no injuries reported. The suspect last seen leaving in a dark-colored vehicle driving southbound on Brunswick Street.

Multiple police units, with the assistance of members from the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, are actively searching for the suspect.

The suspect is described to police as a white man, with a medium build, approximately 5’4”-5’6” in height, who is between the ages of 40 to 50 years old, wearing a black sweater with white lettering on the front, a blue hoodie underneath with the hood up, black knee-length shorts with a Nike logo, black sneakers, a black face mask and gloves.
