On January 20 at 9:20 p.m. Halifax Regional Police responded to a call for a commercial robbery that took place at the Highfield Video & Variety located at 94 Highfield Park Drive in Dartmouth.
It was reported that two suspects entered the store and one suspect produced a black handgun while demanding money. An amount of cash was taken along with a quantity of cigarettes. The suspects fled the store traveling on foot eastbound on Highfield Park Drive. No one was physically injured in the robbery.
Police patrol officers and a K-9 officer searched the area, but the suspects have not yet been located.
One suspect is described as a man in his twenties, with a dark complexion and wearing a black jacket at the time of the incident. The other suspect is described as a man in his twenties, with a dark complexion, wearing a red jacket with a brown fur-lined hood at the time of the incident.
The investigation is in its early stages. Police are asking anyone with information about the incident or video from the area to call 902-490-5020.
