Police are investigating a robbery and theft of motor vehicle that occurred in Halifax.
At approximately 7:20 p.m. on January 11, 2022, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a robbery in progress in the 1500 block of Lower Water Street. The victim was approached by a man who produced a knife and stole the victim’s vehicle, described as a gold-colored 2009 Toyota Camry.
The man is described as having a dark complexion and dark hair and eyes. The vehicle was last viewed crossing the MacDonald Bridge heading into Dartmouth. The suspect failed to stop the vehicle for police and officers concluded the pursuit for public safety reasons.
