Police investigate single motor vehicle collision GO#20-49203

On April 24 at 9:21 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a signal motor vehicle collision west bound on the 111 Highway at exit 2B (Windmill Road exit), Dartmouth. The vehicle had rolled over onto the roof in the collision. A woman was the only occupant and was extracted from the vehicle by Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency. The woman was not injured and was checked by Emergency Health Service paramedics at the scene. At the time of the collision it was raining, however, alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor and the driver was arrested for Impaired Driving. The investigation is in the initial stage and impaired driving charges are expected to be laid against the driver.

West bound traffic on the 111 Highway had been reduced to one lane, with the outside lane closed while the vehicle is removed.
