Police Investigate Vehicle Collision and Arrest Driver

At 1:38 a.m., Halifax Regional Police received a report of a Motor Vehicle Collision where a pickup truck struck a utility pole in the 100 block of Eaglewood Drive, Bedford, knocking the power out in the area, and a male driver running from the truck. Halifax Regional Police and and a Police Service Dog searched the area for the driver, but did not located the driver.   

2:05 a.m., an RCMP member located and arrested the driver in Lower Sackville. A 27-year-old man will appear in Dartmouth Court on a later date and is facing the following criminal charges: Operation of a Conveyance while Impaired, Refusal to comply with demand for testing and Failing to Remain at the Scene of an Accident.
