Police investigate weapons call GO#20-94162

UPDATE: Investigators have confirmed a 33-year-old man is at hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Currently there is no suspect information. 

 

On August 14 at 9 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of possible gun shots in the 500 block of Portland Street, Dartmouth. Officers arrived on scene and confirmed a shooting had taken place. Multiple officers were on scene, including K-9, and Forensic Identification members.

Shortly after at 9:29 p.m., Dartmouth General Hospital reported a man arrived with gunshot wounds. The hospital was on lock down and officers were on scene. 

Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are conducting the investigation. The investigation is in its preliminary stages and further information will be released when available.
