Police investigate weapons call GO#21-56335

UPDATE: Farringdon Way is reopened to vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

Investigators with the General Investigation Section and the Forensic Identification Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are conducting the investigation, which is in the early stages.

On May 13 at approximately 11 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of gun shots and an injured man at the intersection of Broad Street and Farringdon Way, Bedford. Multiple officers responded to the scene and located a man with life threatening injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. Officers are currently on scene, including K-9 and members of the Emergency Response Team. There is no suspect description at this time. We ask that people avoid the area. The investigation is in its preliminary stages and further information will be released when available. Farringdon Way is blocked to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
