12:42 a.m. on the 8th of January, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a male with a firearm attempting to enter the Irving gas station at 2499 Robie Street Halifax. The male was not able to enter the store and left south bound on foot. Patrol officers located the male a short distance away and arrested him without incident. The male was in possession of rolled papers wrapped in black tape that resembled a firearm. The 35-year-old male from Halifax is facing weapons charges and will appear in Halifax court on a later date.
