UPDATE: Halifax Regional Police concluded operations in the 100 block of Pinecrest Drive in Dartmouth. The street is reopen to traffic. Police thank the public for their assistance in this matter.
At approximately 12:31 p.m. on October 28, Halifax Regional Police responded to a call that a man with a firearm was seen entering an apartment in the 100 block of Pinecrest Drive in Dartmouth. Police conducted an investigation and no male was located in the apartment and no firearm was located. Police have cleared the scene. There is no threat to public safety.

Halifax Regional Police are currently on scene in the 100 block of Pinecrest Drive in Dartmouth investigating a weapons complaint. We ask that people avoid the area. The investigation is in its preliminary stages and further information will be released when available.
