Police Investigate Weapons complaint

At 12:43 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a Weapons call at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital, 1796 Summer Street Halifax, for a report of a male patient brandishing a knife. The hospital did activate a security lock down.

Multiple officers responded and quickly located and detained the patient without incident. Officers confirmed the patient did have a folding pocket knife, but did not commit any criminal offences. The lock down was cancelled after the patient was released at the scene without charges.
