Police investigate weapons complaint GO#20-116512

On October 2 at 4:45 p.m., on Halifax Regional Police responded to a weapons complaint in the 0-100 block of Lacewood Drive in Halifax.

The complainant was driving on Lacewood Drive when the driver of another vehicle cut him off. The driver of the other vehicle then exited his vehicle and challenged the complainant to fight on the roadway. The complainant drove away immediately but became stuck in traffic near the suspect vehicle again. At that time, the complainant advised police that the suspect driver began yelling obscenities toward him and held what the complainant believed was a handgun in his hand.

The suspect driver was described to police as being a Caucasian man, between the ages of 20 to 30 with a full dark beard and he was wearing a gray sweater at the time of the incident. The suspect was driving an older model gold colour Hyundai sedan with a rear spoiler. The suspect vehicle was last seen driving toward the Bayer's Lake Park area. No one was injured during the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
