Police investigating arson GO #20- 89330

On August 4 at approximately 8:37 a.m., Halifax Regional Police and Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency Services responded to a fire at a residence in the 3400 block of Barrington Street, Halifax. The fire was quickly extinguished by Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency Services. There was one woman taken to hospital for smoke inhalation as a result of the fire.

Fire investigators believe the fire was intentionally set.

The investigation is in the preliminary stages and investigators in the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are asking anyone with information about this incident to call 902-490-5020.
