Update: We can confirm that the victim in the fatal vehicle pedestrian collision is a sixty-three-year old Halifax woman. We are not releasing her name at this time. The truck was driven by a fifty-three-year-old Dartmouth man. The investigation is ongoing and we have no further details to provide at this time. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by this tragic incident.

Halifax Regional Police is currently on scene of a fatal pedestrian motor vehicle collision on Lady Hammond Road between Commission Street and Kempt Road.
Lady Hammond Road is closed in this area we are asking people to avoid the area and take alternate routes. Further details will follow when available.
