On Tuesday, the Halifax Regional Police Traffic Unit issued 46 tickets for motor vehicle-related offences.
Members issued 46 summary offence tickets: 26 for speeding, seven for no insurance, and 13 for other offences including using a cell phone while driving, failing to stop at a red light, bald tires and unsafe lane change.
In an ongoing effort to address traffic safety issues and educate citizens on the rules of the road, our officers focus on speed enforcement.
We all have a role to play in keeping our roads safe. If you see someone driving dangerously, report it to police by calling 911.
