Last Thursday, the Halifax Regional Police Traffic Unit issued 58 tickets for motor vehicle-related offences.
On April 14, members issued 58 summary offence tickets: 35 for speeding, 10 for driving without insurance and 13 for other offences including using a hand-held cellphone while driving, unregistered vehicle, operating without a license and unsafe equipment.
The monthly theme for April is speeding and aggressive driving. In a continued effort to address traffic safety issues, officers will focus on these areas when conducting enforcement.
We all have a role to play in keeping our roads safe. If you see someone driving dangerously, report it to police by calling 911.
