This week, the Halifax Regional Police Traffic Unit issued 70 tickets for speeding and motor vehicle-related offences.
On Monday and Tuesday, members issued 70 summary offence tickets: 12 for speeding, 14 for invalid safety inspections, 11 for no insurance, and 33 for other offences including driving without a valid license.
On Tuesday members spent time in the area of Albert Walker Drive and Purcells Cove Road monitoring for traffic safety violations.
We all have a role to play in keeping our roads safe. If you see someone driving dangerously, report it to police by calling 911.
