Police charged two restaurants and two employees of a store this weekend for failing to comply with the regulations set out in the Health Protection Act.
Police received reports that two separate restaurants in Halifax were operating contrary to regulations set out in the Health Protection Act. Officers issued a summary offence ticket in the amount of $11,622.50 under section 71 (1) (a) of the Health Protection Act for failing to comply with the act and its regulations to each business.
Police received a report that employees at a store in Halifax were operating contrary to regulations set out in the Health Protection Act. Police observed staff not wearing masks while working in the store. Officers issued summary offence tickets to the employees in the amount of $2,422 under section 71 (1) (b) of the Health Protection Act for failing to comply with the act and its regulations.
