Criminal Justice Act.

In late March, Halifax Regional Police was made aware of social media posts where a youth, who was charged in relation to a March incident at C.P. Allen High School, was believed to have been identified. Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division determined that an employee of the Nova Scotia Sheriff Services had breached the publication ban provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).

Ali Zaki Khairalla Al-Hindal, 30, is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court at a later date to face a charge of contravening Section 110 (1) of the YCJA by publishing the name of a young person or any other information related to a young person which identifies them as a young person dealt with under the act.
