Halifax Regional Police have charged a man in relation to a stabbing that occurred in Halifax last night.
At approximately 10:30 p.m., police responded to reports of an altercation in the 2000 block of Gottingen Street. Officers arrived on scene and located a man who had been stabbed by another man who was known to him. The suspect was arrested and the victim was transported to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Carl Wendell Skeir, 56, was scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court today to face charges of:
- Aggravated assault
- Assault with a weapon
- Possess a weapon dangerous to public peace
