The streets in the North Street area of Halifax that were closed this morning in relation to a police operation have been reopened.

Police operation in progress
Police are conducting a search in the 5600 block of North Street in Halifax, in relation to an ongoing investigation. North Street is closed to traffic between Belle Aire Terrace and Agricola Street.
A number of members are on scene completing the search. There is no threat to public safety. We ask members of the public to use alternate routes and avoid the area to allow officers to conduct the search and investigation.
