Investigators in the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s) in relation to two recent robberies at a bank in Dartmouth.
At approximately 10:15 a.m. on October 9, police responded to a robbery that just occurred at the Scotiabank located at 91 Portland Street in Dartmouth. A man came into the bank, jumped the counter and took cash from the teller. There were no weapons seen and there were no injuries reported. The man fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
At approximately 1:20 p.m. on October 15, a man entered the same bank and advised the teller that he had a knife. The suspect fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed sum of money.
Investigators are exploring the possibility that the robberies are linked. Police are releasing photos from both robberies and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s).
