Police release pictures of theft suspects

Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a man and woman responsible for a theft from a local grocery store. 

On September 23, 2016 at approximately 8:50 p.m., a theft occurred at the Barrington Street location of the Atlantic Superstore which was reported to police the next day. A woman entered the store and went upstairs to where the public washrooms are located. A man then went upstairs to meet her and the two had a short conversation before separating. The man walked into a community room across from the washrooms while the woman proceeded to leave the store. Shortly thereafter, the man was seen leaving the room, wheeling a large black case to the elevators then out of the store. The case contained a quantity of computer equipment, power bars, extension cord and tools valued at more than $20,000.

The suspects are described as a white man in his twenties, thin build, with short brown hair and wearing a black jacket at the time of the incident. The second suspect is described as a black woman, heavy set, wearing glasses and a pink tank top at the time of the incident.
