Police investigate suspicious package
Police have concluded their investigation of a suspicious package in downtown Halifax.
At approximately 8:25 a.m. officers responded to a report of a suspicious package in the 1700 block of Hollis Street. Members of the Forensic Identification Section attended and determined the package was not a threat to the public.
All streets in the area have been reopened to traffic. We thank the public for their patience and cooperation.

At approximately 8:25 a.m. officers responded to a report of a suspicious package in the 1700 block of Hollis Street.
Hollis Street between Duke and Prince streets and George Street between Barrington and Hollis streets are closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic to allow officers to conduct the investigation. Please use alternate routes to avoid delays.
