Update: Regarding the weapons call from yesterday, a 38-year-old man was taken into custody without incident. There were no threats to public safety. We thank the public for their cooperation.

At approximately 2:25 p.m. officers were called to a residence on Tophill Road in Bedford in relation to a weapons investigation. There will be a visible police presence in the area for an extended period of time.
Police are asking the public to remain away from the area while they conduct the investigation.
