Halifax Regional Police was on scene of a weapons call in Dartmouth last week.
On December 1, at approximately 9:50 p.m., police received a report of possible gun shots in the area of the 400 block of Renfrew Street in Dartmouth. Officers arrived on scene and located evidence of a shooting.
A residence was searched and no one was physically injured.
Members of the Integrated General Investigation Section and the Forensic Identification Section are investigating the matter.
The investigation is in its preliminary stages and further information will be released when available.
