Police are looking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a robbery that occurred in Halifax on January 30.
At approximately 7:45 p.m., Halifax Regional Police received a report of a robbery that had just occurred at the Sobeys Smoke Shop located at 287 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. A man entered the store, demanded cash and then fled on foot with the money. There was no weapon observed and no reported injuries.
The suspect is described to police as a white man who appeared to be in his 50’s, standing at 5’8” tall with grey hair. He was wearing jeans and a black bomber-style winter jacket with fur on the hood.
Police are investigating the possibility that this robbery is related to a similar incident reported earlier this date on Joseph Howe Drive.
