Police seize loaded firearms while conducting search warrant

On February 1, the Integrated Criminal Investigations Division, Special Investigations Section (SIS), along with the members of the HRP Emergency Response Team, conducted a search warrant in the 0-50 block of Innovation Drive, in Bedford in relation to an ongoing investigation.

During the search of a residence and vehicles, SIS recovered loaded firearms and a functional taser device.

Corez Kane Taijon Williams, 28, and Martino Maurice Williams, 20, were both scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court today to face charges of:

  • Possession of prohibited weapon (Taser)
  • Unsafe handling of a firearm
  • Unsafe storage contrary to regulations
  • Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Carrying a concealed weapon
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited device (x 2)
  • Possession of a firearm knowing it is unauthorized
  • Possession of a prohibited device knowing it is unauthorized (x2)
  • Unauthorized possession in motor vehicle
  • Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition
  • Possession of firearm obtained by commission of an offence

Rashaun Martino Allison, 26, will also appear in Halifax provincial court today to face a charge of possession of a prohibited weapon.
