The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that nighttime road construction will take place tonight on Portland Street between James and Pleasant streets.
Crews will be on site from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The traffic lights at the intersection of Portland and Pleasant streets will be shut down from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Traffic control personnel will be on site to direct motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians around the construction areas.
Motorists are asked to use an alternative route whenever possible.
