The Halifax Regional Municipality’s Office of Diversity & Inclusion/ANSAIO is inviting residents to celebrate International Women’s Day virtually, on Tuesday, March 8, 2022.
This year’s theme is Disrupt and Celebrate: The future of gender equality for women, girls and gender diverse people in the Halifax region.
Co-hosted by Councillor Iona Stoddard and April Hubbard, the event’s keynote speaker will be Natteal Battiste, member of the Acadia First Nation.
Date: Tuesday, March 8, 2022
Time: 9 a.m. to 12 noon
Following the event, a video recording will be available on the municipality’s YouTube channel.
This event is presented in partnership between the Halifax Regional Municipality, the Halifax Public Libraries and the following partner organizations: Transition House Association Nova Scotia, YWCA Halifax, Nova Scotia Advisory Council on the Status of Women, and Immigrant and Migrant Women’s Association of Halifax.

Le Bureau de la diversité et de l’inclusion de la Municipalité régionale d’Halifax et le Bureau d’intégration des affaires des Néo-Écossais africains (BIANEA) invitent les résidents à célébrer virtuellement la Journée internationale des femmes, le mardi 8 mars 2022.
Le thème de cette année est Ébranler et célébrer : L’avenir de l’égalité des genres pour les femmes, les filles et les gens de divers genres dans la région d’Halifax.
Coanimé par la conseillère Iona Stoddard and April Hubbard, la conférencière de l’événement sera Natteal Battiste, membre de la Première Nation Acadia.
