The Halifax Regional Municipality is seeking residents’ feedback on the redevelopment of the Halifax Forum.
The Halifax Forum has been home to recreational and community events for close to 100 years and welcomes over 500,000 residents and guests annually. The redevelopment is an opportunity to retain the historic legacy of the Halifax Forum, while building a modern facility where all residents are welcome to enjoy events, community connectivity, sports and recreation programming, and an open green space.
In collaboration with the Halifax Forum Community Association, the municipality has finalized a proposed development concept. It will include an accessible welcome area, one large multi-purpose space, two ice pads, and parkland surrounding the facility.
The municipality is now inviting residents to review the final design and provide input on issues like parking, green spaces, and more.
Residents can participate in an online survey on Shape Your City. The survey will be open from April 8 to April 30.

La Municipalité régionale d’Halifax sollicite les commentaires des résidents sur le réaménagement du Forum d’Halifax.
Le Forum d’Halifax accueille des événements récréatifs et communautaires depuis près de 100 ans et reçoit plus de 500 000 résidents et invités chaque année. Le réaménagement est la possibilité de maintenir le patrimoine historique du Forum d’Halifax tout en bâtissant une installation moderne où tous les résidents sont les bienvenus pour profiter d’événements, de liens communautaires, de programmes sportifs et réactifs et d’un espace vert ouvert.
En collaboration avec la Halifax Forum Community Association, la municipalité a finalisé un concept d’aménagement proposé. Cela comprend une aire d’accueil accessible, un grand espace multifonctionnel, deux patinoires et un parc entourant l’installation.
La municipalité invite maintenant les résidents à examiner le concept final et à faire part de leurs commentaires sur des questions comme le stationnement, les espaces verts et autres.
Les résidents peuvent participer à un sondage en ligne à Shape Your City. Le sondage sera accessible du 8 avril au 30 avril.
