The Halifax Regional Municipality invites residents to participate in upcoming community engagement opportunities to share their feedback on active transportation infrastructure in the Grahams Grove area.

Active transportation improvements are being considered for several streets in Dartmouth, including portions of the Highway 111 interchange, Main Street, Tacoma Drive, Prince Albert Road, Harris Road and more.

The intent of this phase is to conduct final public engagement that will inform refined design recommendations for the functional (30 per cent) plan.

Residents may participate in the following community engagement opportunities:

  • 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 22 – A pop-up event at the Fairbanks Interpretive Centre Lawn, 54 Locks Road, Dartmouth.
  • 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28 – In-person open house at the Kiwanis Centre, 45 Grahams Grove, Dartmouth.

The project will aim to improve safety, access and connectivity for active transportation users through improved pedestrian infrastructure and new All Ages and Abilities cycling connections along several streets identified in the Integrated Mobility Plan and Active Transportation Priorities Plan.
