On December 31, Halifax Regional Police responded to a collision in Dartmouth. The collision on Windmill Road resulted in a power pole being severed and power lines dropped down across the road. Windmill Road at Fernhill Drive was closed to traffic in both directions for most of the night while repairs were made.
A 36-year-old driver from Dartmouth was arrested and charged with refusal of a blood demand. The driver was released and will appear in court at a later date.
