Location: Larry Uteck Boulevard at the intersection of Brookline Drive (north) and Broad Street (north)

Work details: Work will begin on the construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of Larry Uteck Boulevard, Brookline Drive and Broad Street. Initial work will involve site preparation and rock removal. This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network and will improve access to and from current and future developments in Bedford West.
Traffic impact: No major delays are anticipated for motorists or cyclists during the initial stages of construction; however, altered centerlines and short-term lane reduction may be required at times on Larry Uteck Boulevard to complete the initial work. Further announcements will be issued for traffic disruptions during future stages of work.

Détails des travaux : Ces travaux visent la construction d’un nouveau carrefour giratoire à l’intersection du boulevard Larry Uteck, de la rue Broad Sud à la promenade Brookline. Les premiers travaux comprendront la préparation du site et l’enlèvement de la roche. Ce projet soutient le Plan des priorités stratégiques du Conseil régional 2021-2025, qui vise à établir un réseau de mobilité intégré sécuritaire et accessible et à améliorer l’accès aux développements actuels et futurs de Bedford Ouest.
Impact sur la circulation : Aucun retard important n’est prévu pour les automobilistes ou les cyclistes au cours des étapes initiales de la construction; toutefois, il peut être nécessaire de modifier les lignes centrales et de réduire les voies à court terme sur le boulevard Larry Uteck pour terminer les travaux initiaux. D’autres annonces seront publiées pour les perturbations de la circulation pendant les prochaines étapes des travaux.
