Residents and visitors are now invited to access the temporary Spring Garden Road Stoplet at the bus stop between Birmingham Street and Dresden Row.
Motorists should note that buses will be stopping flush with the stoplet to allow passengers to board and disembark.
The stoplet will add more space and amenities to the sidewalk to improve comfort for pedestrians and transit passengers. Staff will be on site to welcome stoplet visitors today from noon to 3 p.m.
This summer, the municipality, in partnership with the Spring Garden Area Business Association, will be testing new streetscaping concepts and asking for public feedback. Consultants will use feedback to create a streetscaping plan between Queen and South Park streets. Construction will start in 2020 at the earliest.

Le stoplet du chemin Spring Garden est maintenant ouvert
Les résidents et les visiteurs sont maintenant invités à accéder au stoplet temporaire du chemin Spring Garden situé à l’arrêt d’autobus situé entre Birmingham Street et Dresden Row.
Les automobilistes doivent prendre note que les autobus s’arrêteront à l’arrêt temporaire pour permettre aux passagers d’embarquer et de débarquer.
Le stoplet ajoutera plus d’espace et de commodités au trottoir pour améliorer le confort des piétons et des passagers en transit. Le personnel sera sur place pour accueillir les visiteurs, aujourd’hui de midi à 15 h.
Cet été, la municipalité, en partenariat avec la Spring Garden Area Business Association (en anglais seulement), testera de nouveaux concepts d’aménagement de rues et sollicitera les commentaires du public. Les consultants utiliseront les commentaires pour créer un plan d’aménagement de la rue entre les rues Queen et South Park. La construction commencera en 2020 au plus tôt.
