The Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting residents to participate in a survey exploring future possibilities for a dog off-leash area in the vicinity of the Governor’s Brook subdivision in Spryfield.
An assessment was completed to review five parks in the vicinity of the subdivision for their suitability for a dog off-leash area. As a result, two areas that are being considered are the community trail in MacIntosh Run Regional Park and the Roaches Pond Ball Diamond Park.
Feedback from this survey will help inform a report returning to Regional Council with a recommendation on a dog off-leash area close to Governor’s Brook.

La Municipalité régionale d’Halifax invite les résidents à participer à un sondage explorant les possibilités futures d’une zone pour chiens sans laisse à proximité de la subdivision Governor’s Brook à Spryfield.
Une évaluation a été effectuée afin d’examiner cinq parcs situés à proximité de la subdivision pour déterminer s’ils conviennent à une zone pour chiens sans laisse. Par conséquent, deux zones qui sont considérées sont le sentier communautaire du McIntosh Run Regional Park et le Roaches Pond Ball Diamond Park.
Les commentaires recueillis dans le cadre de ce sondage aideront à éclairer un rapport qui sera remis au Conseil régional d’une recommandation sur une zone pour chiens sans laisse près de Governor’s Brook.
