At 9:40 p.m. on October 9, Halifax Regional Police responded to a suspicious vehicle fire in the 100 block of Hammonds Plains Road in Bedford.
The unoccupied vehicle was fully engulfed once officers arrived. Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency Services responded and extinguished the fire.
Witnesses describe observing a white male believed to be in his early 20s running from the scene. The suspect is further described as approximately 5' 7" in height, having a medium build with short hair. He was wearing a black jacket, white shirt, black pants and sneakers at the time of the incident.
The suspect was last observed running into a pathway that leads towards Bedford Hills Drive.
