A 54-year-old Dartmouth man is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today to face arson and breach of recognizance charges in relation to a fire at the Portland Street Winners store last evening.

At approximately 7:40 p.m. on September 27, Halifax Regional Police responded to a fire at the Winners clothing store at 650 Portland St, Dartmouth. An article of clothing was set on fire in the store. A Dartmouth man has been arrested for arson and the investigation is in the initial stages.
