Halifax Regional Police responded to 1051 calls for service over the long weekend. Some notable calls are as follows:
Robbery
On November 8 at approximately 3 p.m., officers responded to a robbery that occurred at the Irving gas station, located at 6515 Quinpool Road. A man entered the store, carrying a wooden stick, demanded money from the till and cigarettes. The man then used the stick to smash the plastic cover on the counter. The suspect fled the area on foot with a quantity of money and cigarettes. The employee was not physically injured. At approximately 4 p.m. officers located and arrested the suspect.
A 43-year-old man, is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court at a later date to face the charges of robbery with an offensive weapon and possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace.

Robbery
On November 8 at approximately 11:20 p.m., officers responded to a robbery that occurred in the 2100 block of Gottingen Street. A man threatened the victim with a firearm and demanded his property. When confronted by a second person, the suspect threatened that person with the firearm.
At approximately 11:25 p.m., officers located and arrested two suspects nearby.
A 19-year-old man, is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court at a later date to face the charges of robbery with violence and pointing a firearm. A 16-year-old youth is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court at a later date to face the charges of possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, pointing a firearm and robbery with violence.
