    On September 26, at 8:38 a.m., police were called to Highfield Park Drive to investigate multiple property damage complaints. Several mailboxes had been broken into in the area. Through the course of the investigation, police identified a suspect and arrested a 30-year-old man on November 21.

    Today will mark the second anniversary of the murder of Tyler Ronald Joseph Keizer, and the Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the occupants of a vehicle seen in the area at the time of the homicide.

    As a precautionary measure, officers with the Explosive Disposal Unit used a counter explosive charge to detonate the suspicious package. The investigation is ongoing to determine the nature of the package. Akerley Boulevard has been re-opened to traffic. Thank you to everyone for their cooperation in this matter.

    At approximately 9:30 a.m. on November 17, Halifax Regional Police received a report of a Canadian Coast Guard ship partially submerged in the 1400 block of Ketch Harbor Road in Sambro Head. A preliminary investigation revealed that someone damaged the slip, which caused the ship to slide back into the ocean.
