At 4:40 a.m. on January 13, Halifax Regional Police received a report of a motor vehicle collision where a car struck a tree and fire hydrant in the 6100 block of North Street in Halifax. At 4:50 a.m. Halifax Regional Police located the suspected vehicle in the parking lot of McDonalds on Kempt Road.

The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that road construction will begin tomorrow and last until Friday, Jan. 18 (weather permitting) on Pepperell Street between Robie and Vernon streets.
