At 12:28 a.m. on August 18, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a robbery on the street on Nine Mile Drive in Bedford.

Halifax Regional Police officers are investigating a report of a shots fired on August 17.  At 8:55 p.m. a report was received of a shooting that took place in the area of the 3400 block of Barrington Street, downtown Halifax. The investigation is currently ongoing. Members have been able to confirm that shots were fired, however, nobody was injured. It is not believed that the shooting was a random act.

The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists Brunswick Street will be closed this week between Spring Garden Road and Doyle Street to facilitate the installation of a manhole.
