ENAt approximately 3:27 a.m. on May 8, Halifax Regional Police responded to a hold-up alarm at a business in the 2800 block of Gottingen Street. A quantity of cigarettes was taken, but no one was injured nor was a weapon used. The matter is under investigation.

ENAt approximately 2:26 a.m. on May 8, Halifax Regional Police and Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency responded to 5450 Inglis Street, a 15 unit dwelling. Flames were coming from the roof. Police and Fire will be on scene for much of the morning and people are asked to avoid the area.

ENAt approximately 9:14 p.m. on May 7, a youth driver missed the left turn onto Lancaster Drive from Argus Drive in Dartmouth. She went up over the curb and into two cars in the driveway. No physical injuries, the driver was not impaired and the matter is under investigation.
