    On April 27, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a robbery at Tim Hortons located at 180 Wyse Road in Dartmouth. A lone male entered the store and demanded cash telling the staff he was in possession of a firearm. No firearm was seen. The male was arrested at the Alderney Ferry Terminal without incident.

    April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and, as first responders, Halifax Regional Police (HRP) recognizes that reporting a sexual assault can be extremely difficult. HRP's Sexual Assault Investigation Team (SAIT) are trained, qualified specialists in their field. HRP's Victim Services Unit provides valuable support to SAIT and a safe, non-judgemental environment where a victim of sexualized violence is listened to and supported so they can make informed decisions and access appropriate services and supports.
