    The Halifax Regional Municipality will be lowering the Lake Banook dam to prepare for the rain expected this evening. The purpose of lowering the dam is to mitigate possible flooding upstream. Once lowered, there will be an increase in water flow downstream of the dam, in the areas of Sullivan’s Pond and Martin’s Park in Dartmouth Cove.
