    We can confirm that the victim in the fatal vehicle pedestrian collision is a sixty-three-year old Halifax woman. We are not releasing her name at this time. The truck was driven by a fifty-three-year-old Dartmouth man. The investigation is ongoing and we have no further details to provide at this time. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by this tragic incident.

    Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in relation to an assault that occurred in Halifax July 21.

    At approximately 3:25 p.m. on July 20, a member of Halifax Regional Police was responding to an emergency call, while en-route the officer was involved in a motor vehicle collision with another vehicle at the intersection of Quinpool Road and Robie Street, Halifax. The officer had their emergency lights and siren activated at the time.
