Shortly after midnight on July 23, police responded to the 2600 block of Gottingen Street for a report of an injured man. After an investigation it was determined the man had been the victim of a robbery.

We can confirm that the victim in the fatal vehicle pedestrian collision is a sixty-three-year old Halifax woman. We are not releasing her name at this time. The truck was driven by a fifty-three-year-old Dartmouth man. The investigation is ongoing and we have no further details to provide at this time. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by this tragic incident.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in relation to an assault that occurred in Halifax July 21.

At approximately 3:25 p.m. on July 20, a member of Halifax Regional Police was responding to an emergency call, while en-route the officer was involved in a motor vehicle collision with another vehicle at the intersection of Quinpool Road and Robie Street, Halifax. The officer had their emergency lights and siren activated at the time.

At 9:35 a.m. on July 20, police attended a motor vehicle collision involving a bicycle at the intersection of Mumford Road and Chebucto Road in Halifax.
