ENAt 8:00 p.m. on September 9, Halifax Regional Police (HRP) responded to the Central Nova Scotia Correction Facility (CNSCF) for approximately 30 people who were protesting outside the facility. A report had been received that the protesters had been shooting fireworks at the facility and were attempting to climb the fence surrounding the property. When HRP members arrived the protesters were removed from the property at the request of CNSCF supervisors.

ENAt 1:58 a.m. on September 3, a Halifax Regional Police marked police car was responding to a call for service (no emergency lights or siren activated). A Toyota Corolla, that was turning left from Cornwallis Street, collided with the police car on the right side. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and airbags were deployed.

ENThe Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that due to construction delays, the new Scotia One ice surface at Cole Harbour Place will not open to the public this weekend, as originally planned.
