ENOn August 11, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to the 1100 block of Old Sambro Road, Harrietsfield to assist with traffic while Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency responded to a structure fire. The commercial building was not occupied at the time and no one was injured. There was significant damage to the building as a result of the fire.

ENHalifax Regional Police approached a male who was panhandling in the area of Bayers Road and Connaught Avenue in Halifax, at approximately 5:50 p.m, on August 11. The male was wanted on an outstanding warrant and fled on foot from police.
