The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising pedestrians that one of the entrance gates to the Halifax Public Gardens, located at the corner of Spring Garden Road and South Park Street, will be closed for the day.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and, as first responders, Halifax Regional Police (HRP) recognizes that reporting a sexual assault can be extremely difficult. HRP's Sexual Assault Investigation Team (SAIT) are trained, qualified specialists in their field. HRP's Victim Services Unit provides valuable support to SAIT and a safe, non-judgemental environment where a victim of sexualized violence is listened to and supported so they can make informed decisions and access appropriate services and supports.
