ENAt 12:53 p.m. on January 3, police received a call that a man had made threats against persons known to him and was planning to attend a business on Kempt Road in Halifax and was possibly in possession of a firearm.

ENAt approximately 9:45 p.m. on January 2, Halifax Regional Police officers responded to the 100 block of Best Street in Dartmouth to the report of an altercation involving two men at this location.

ENAt 9:12 p.m. on January 1, east division patrol members responded to the Needs Convenience store at 275 Baker Drive. A lone female employee reported a male entered the store wearing a mask while holding a knife and demanding cash and cigarettes. The employee was not injured and the suspect fled the scene with cash and cigarettes.

ENOn December 27, police received a report that on December 26 at approximately 10 p.m. a cab driver drove a female passenger to a residence in Dartmouth and sexually and physically assaulted her. The woman sustained non-life threatening facial injuries.

ENAt 7:30 p.m. on December 27, the Integrated Emergency Service (IES) Centre received a call from a male who advised he was going to harm someone with a knife and wanted to let the police know. Multiple Halifax Regional Police units searched for the male in the Halifax area.
